Summit on China Livestock Industry and Feed Industry to be held in Zhengchang on October 19 – 21, 2011
The 7th Association of China Feed Industry Summit will be held on October 19 – 21, 2011 at Zhengchang. Attended by influential industry leaders and representatives from mainstream media, leaders from feed companies which produce 90 percent of China’s feed products will share their insights on the future trend of China feed industry at the Summit.
To organise a summit of such a scale, the organizer has to be influential and has strong corporate social responsibilities programmes. Zhengchang, as the largest feed machinery manufacturer and engineering service provider in China, will be able to build a feasible communication platform, pull together resources and effectively promote collaborations between organizations.
The main objective of the summit is to strengthen the communications between companies, including improving the understanding between feed companies and the government so as to develop a conducive environment for both the livestock and feed industries to contribute effectively to economic growth.
The summit is organized mainly by large-scale feed companies within China Feed Industry Association and which fulfill the following requirements:
1) Annual feed production of more than 150,000 tonnes or more than 40,000 tonnes of concentrated feed or more than 10,000 tonnes of premix feed. The companies’ turnover is at least 90 percent with dedicated R&D facilities and R&D funds of at least 1.5 percent of annual revenues.
2) Annual lysine production of more than 20,000 tonnes or more than 10,000 tonnes of feed grade methionine. The companies’ turnover is at least 90 percent with dedicated R&D facilities and R&D funds of at least 2 percent of annual revenues.
3) Annual feed grade phosphate production of more than 50,000 tonnes with a turnover of more than 90 percent, with dedicated R&D facilities and R&D funds of no less than 1.5 percent of annual revenues.
4) Annual production of more than RMB1 billion feed grade vitamins and other feed additives, with dedicated R&D facilities and R&D funds of no less than 2 percent of annual revenues.
5) Annual production of more than RMB2 billion feed machinery manufacturing, with dedicated R&D facilities and R&D funds of no less than 2 percent of annual revenues.
6) Annual production of more than 150,000 tonnes of raw feed materials with a turnover of more than 90 percent, has dedicated R&D facilities and R&D funds of no less than 1 percent of annual revenues; or annual trade value of raw feed materials of more than RMB2 billion.
The main responsibilities of China Feed Industry Association include:
1) Reflecting the concerns of large-scale organizations, coordinate B2B relations and protecting the rights and benefits of the industry.
2) Coordinate and kickstart major projects for the feed industry, providing support in research, strategic planning and advice.
3) Providing timely information on the feed industry and feed-related industries as well as on new policies and legal issues.
4) Take the lead in protecting the rights of the industry, supporting and participating in activities organized by China’s Feed Associations, encourage self-regulation and the upholding of industry norms.
5) Provide guidance towards system advancements, manage innovations and take the lead to build up the system and credibility of organizations.
6) Enable the exchange of experiences on management and technology innovations.
7) Coordinate international collaborations and exchanges between companies and expand the overseas influence of large-scale organizations and entrepreneurs.
8) Encourage large-scale organizations to support anti-dumping and anti-subsidy policies.
9) Other administrative duties and duties as assigned by the China Feed Industry Association.
Zhengchang will spare no efforts in organizing the Summit which will play an important role in strengthening the communication between companies, with the government and protecting the rights and benefits of feed companies and encouraging the development of China feed industry locally and globally.
