The 4th Tianmu Lake Forum in 2015 Successfully Held

    From November 30 to December 2, 2015, the "4th Tianmu Lake Forum (China Feed Industry Production Management and Process Innovation Forum)" hosted by Zhengchang Group was successfully held by the beautiful Tianmu Lake. As the only influential annual technical exchange event in China's feed industry, especially in the feed machinery processing industry, this Tianmu Lake Forum focused on the theme of "Differentiation, Efficiency, Safety, and Intelligence." The leaders and guests attending this grand event included: Yan Kuiyou, Director of the National Animal Husbandry Station of the Ministry of Agriculture, Yan Jiangang, Deputy Director and Deputy Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Feed Industry Office, and Hao Bo, Vice President of the China Feed Industry Association and Chairman of Zhengchang Group, among others. There were also over 80 production management, process equipment managers, and technical experts from the feed industry across the country, such as Charoen Pokphand Group, Da Bei Nong Group, New Hope Liuhe Co., Ltd., Jinxinnong Co., Ltd., and Zhengchang Kangdi Company. The Executive Vice President of Zhengchang Group, Lü Shunkai, and the chief editor of "China Modern Feed Engineering", Cao Kang, hosted the meeting. Yan Kuiyou, Hao Bo, and Yan Jiangang delivered speeches at the opening ceremony, marking the start of the event.

Expert Lectures Each One is Wonderful

During the three-day forum, nine experts delivered keynote speeches based on their research results and work practices, covering a wide range of topics and rich content. They interpreted industry development trends and hot issues in feed production management.

Director Yan Kuiyou delivered a speech on "Development Trends of China's Feed Industry under the New Normal," analyzing the characteristics and prospects of livestock feed development under the new normal, in conjunction with the current state of industry development in 2015 and trends for 2016.

Fu Tongjiu, General Manager of the Development Department of New Hope Liuhe Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on "Crushing System Configuration and Crushing Efficiency," sharing practical experience on how to choose advanced crushing equipment and the best processes to achieve production development for feed enterprises. He said, "It's not that we say Zhengchang is good just because we are meeting here, but we have found that good crushers in the international market are indeed made by Zhengchang."

Yang Guojun, Production Director of Liebete Group, showcased the production of "sweet and crispy" feed using Zhengchang's piglet feed process, winning the trust and appreciation of farmers, defeating over 40 local competitors, and becoming the regional sales champion.

Hao Bo, Chairman of Zhengchang Group, delivered a speech on "The Differentiated Value of the Comforting Process and Ordinary Pig Feed Process," analyzing the value of the comforting process from the perspective of feed processing. The comforting process for piglet teaching feed developed by Zhengchang over six years allows piglets to gain an extra kilogram during teaching and increases the weight of large pigs by ten kilograms.

Cui Biao, Manager of the Technology Department of China Youran Animal Husbandry, Zhao Baoyin, Safety Consultant of Charoen Pokphand Group, Lü Jianlong, Director of the Engineering Research Institute of Zhengchang Group, Chief Engineer Li Hua of the Engineering Research Institute of Zhengchang Group, and Jiangsu Hua, General Manager of Zhengchang Electric Control Company, also delivered wonderful keynote speeches and shared experiences. Many people in the audience raised their cameras to take photos and often spontaneously applauded.

The forum emphasized interaction, and during the guest discussion and expert Q&A sessions, representatives seized the opportunity to continuously ask questions. A representative from Jiujiao and Mu asked three questions in one breath, and the guests answered calmly with actionable solutions, winning warm applause from the audience.

Roundtable Forum Everyone Benefits

The group roundtable forum is the best model to interpret "interaction" in the Tianmu Lake Forum. "Everyone teaches, everyone shares," the interaction here is two-way, generating mutual benefits. It focuses on feed industry production management and innovation, summarizing lessons and experiences from frontline production and management, deeply analyzing, discussing, and seeking solutions suitable for the development of enterprises, and then returning to frontline production and management applications. The roundtable forum has guided technological reforms in enterprises, improved product quality, enhanced differentiated competitiveness, and promoted industry progress.

Five sub-forums held intense discussions from the evening of November 30 to noon on December 1 on current hot topics in the feed industry: high molasses addition process; piglet teaching feed process; how to improve production efficiency through equipment transformation, achieving less manpower and automation, etc., and different awards were reviewed by the conference. Each sub-forum had a lively atmosphere, with enthusiastic exchanges and diligent note-taking.

Cheng Zongjia, head of the third sub-forum and chief scientist of the Belgian Green Race Group, said, "Tianmu has a lake, and the forum has a way! The roundtable forum is the most down-to-earth event in China's feed industry!"

Fund Awards New Innovations Every Year

The feed industry is a large industry, with complex and diverse issues. As competition becomes increasingly fierce, holding a few meetings cannot completely solve all the difficulties and problems encountered. However, "Without accumulating small steps, one cannot reach a thousand miles; without accumulating small streams, one cannot form rivers and seas." Since Zhengchang Group established the Tianmu Lake Forum in 2012, it has aimed to gather collective wisdom within the industry to contribute to the progress of Chinese feed enterprises and the development of the Chinese feed industry.

At the closing ceremony on December 2, the "New Feed Generation" fund was launched to recognize representatives who performed outstandingly and actively shared their research results during this forum. The "New Feed Generation" fund is a special award fund established by Zhengchang Group for those who have made outstanding contributions in production management and process innovation research during the roundtable meetings of the Tianmu Lake Forum.

The award ceremony began with exciting music, and the winner of the first prize in the "Harvest Production Line for Happiness - Process Technology Equipment Improvement and Management" category was Fang Guochao from Dacheng Group. His award-winning topic, "Oil Spray Process Sharing," was evaluated by experts as: hot spray technology creates new value, achieving high addition amounts and consistent high-quality appearance, creating differentiated value for enterprises. Hao Bo, Chairman of Zhengchang Group, awarded him a prize of 3000 yuan.

The second prize winners were Chen Feng from Jinxinnong Co., Ltd., Duan Junwu from Shanxi Elephant Animal Husbandry Group, and Wei Zhenwu from Yangzhou University Grass Science Research Institute. Lu Zengwen from Shandong Huanshan Group, Tang Xiaohua from Da Bei Nong Group, and Cai De from Zhengchang Kangdi Company also received third prizes. The fifth group of the roundtable forum, with its excellent performance, proposed 36 valuable suggestions around process design and single-machine technology, becoming the top group and receiving the honor of "Outstanding Team." Additionally, the top ten individuals with valuable suggestions were also recognized.

With Gratitude Looking Forward to Meeting Again

At the closing ceremony, Chairman Hao Bo delivered a concluding speech, reviewing the agenda and focusing on the theme of "Four Modernizations," where everyone worked together to create an academic event that integrates theory and practice; he thanked the experts, professors, and scientific workers who contributed to the Tianmu Lake Forum; he hoped that the official website of the Tianmu Lake Forum would become a platform for everyone to continue discussing and sharing research results; and he wished for better development of China's feed industry and a stronger future for the Chinese nation.

After the meeting, the participants of the Tianmu Lake Forum visited the advanced production lines of Zhengchang Grain Machinery Co., Ltd. and the National Grain Company, marking a successful conclusion to the trip.

The year 2015 was an extraordinary year for feed enterprises, a year of enduring challenges. In the first half of the year, the total national feed production was 87.3 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.7%. Feed enterprises are facing the balance between "capacity adjustment" and "Price efficiency". In such a severe situation, Zhengchang Group hopes that through the Tianmu Lake Forum, everyone can brainstorm and contribute wisdom to the development of technology and equipment in China's feed industry, seeking a breakthrough and sustainable development path for the growth of China's feed industry and feed enterprises, and jointly creating a fruitful production line for happiness.
